What is an “Image Enthusiast”?
This is someone who is passionate about creating, capturing, editing, and sharing images. They may have a deep appreciation for the art of photography and enjoy experimenting with different techniques, styles, and equipment to create visually stunning images.
I have been taking pictures since an early age. My first camera was a ‘pocket camera”, which I got as a present. It was a basic “point and shoot” from the early 1980’s, and good enough to awaken the interest in photography.
Soon, I discovered the limitations of this camera. Luckily, I was allowed to use my dad’s “VOIGTLANDER“, and I was able to continue advance in my photographic adventure.
This camera already featured a light meter and I quickly learned the importance to adjust “Lens aperture” and “exposure time” depending on the desired “depth of field”.
At school, I was able to have access to a dark-room, where I started to develop my own prints, as well as expanded my creativity usage of the enlarger. “double exposure”, were only one of technics.
All my pocket money then went towards my next camera… a Praktica, where I could use a 50mm as well as a zoom lens .

It had a M42 Mount!
Fast …… FORWARD ….. (40 years), I’ve upgraded numerous times, as well as adapted into the “digital” world of photography!
